The phrase "Information Highways" has been used in innumerable publications, presentations and project meetings. It is one of the simplest descriptive terms used to capsulate the complex resources used to move information from office to office or to a multitude of locations around the world.
As IT professionals, we build these highways each day for speed, accuracy, increased security and reduced cost. How could we get our jobs accomplished without them or even remain competitive with other companies offering similar services or products?
There is however another "highway" which we seem to have forgotten. It's the one (for many us) which has us setting our alarm clocks for 5:00 or 6:00 o’clock in the morning for our daily commute to work. We burn more body energy and gasoline in our car tanks than anyone of us would like to in order to get on that "Information Highway at work.
This month’s Presenter and Sponsor, Wesley Clark, with CNP Technologies will discuss why many companies are searching for and offering their employees options to work from home. Wes will discuss the emergence of the "Teleworker" and review and demonstrate technology solutions that can be used for secure home to office information access.
Please join us on Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at Tronco's for Wesley’s presentation, "Teleworker". Enjoy a healthy meal, conversation and discussion with your peers and an opportunity for continuing learning experiences.
