COVID-19 Update

The ITPSC Board extends our best wishes for the health and safety of our IT Professional members and families.

Please note the following updates:

Meetings

As a socially responsible reaction to the Covid-19 crisis, a decision was made, after consultation of the Board Members, to suspend in-person ITPSC monthly meetings in April 2020. As professionals, we did not wish to put any of our members at risk from social interactions. This was a precautionary measure to help slow the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) based on recommendations from State and Local officials.

After providing virtual meetings for the remainder of 2020, it was found our membership would benefit more from our in-person meetings of the past, so the Board has decided to temporarily suspend all meetings in 2021 until we can meet safely in person.

Membership Dues Update

Membership dues for 2021 will not be required until regular in-person monthly meetings resume.

Any membership dues paid for 2021 will be applied to 2022..

  • To encourage and assist in the education of member company representatives and/or individual members by means of seminars, conferences, newsletters and special reports or presentations. This education will cover current topics in the field of information and telecommunications technology.
  • To present, where possible and practical, a unified position on information and telecommunications technology matters, policies, legislative and regulatory issues which affect or could affect ITPSC’s membership.

  • To support public and private educational institutions offering curriculums in information and telecommunications technology.

History

The Information Technology Professionals of South Carolina (ITPSC) formerly known as the South Carolina Telecommunications Managers Association (SCTMA) was founded in April of 1976 with the purpose of bringing together telecommunications managers from across the state to share an open forum for the exchange of information. In January of 1998, the SCTMA changed its name to Information Technology Professionals of South Carolina in order to align itself with the rapid convergence of voice and data in our industry.
